Last Hike of the Year

Our off-trail adventure today was much longer than any of the others. It was the 69th hike of the year and our 83rd outing, quite a feat considering time off for two eye surgeries. It was even warm enough for a tee shirt, another surprise.

Being able to traverse the entire length of the rock cliffs in the Nature Preserve was an incredible experience, a testament to the beauty of Nature and our conditioning. One can only marvel at these magnificent and timeless examples of Earth energies and forces. Current events, and especially those who would destroy the land, are seen in vast perspective.

Hopefully many of us will be inspired to get out and explore places such as this, and work to protect them from the ravages of the greedy and short-sighted.
