Went for the first hike of the season on Wednesday. It was somewhat strenuous, and probably not the best choice, especially since I took a nasty tumble just as we were about to stop for lunch.

Fortunately a mountain mahogany plant broke the fall to some extent, and other than a number of scrapes and bruises and muscle strains, my cameras and I emerged to hike another day!
