Artist's Notes:
What I love about black and white paintings is that they are exactly that — black and white. No equivocating, no hemming and hawing, no seesawing back and forth. There is something very powerful and gratifying about the starkness of the canvas, and the unvarnished truth it reveals. And a salute to the master of the genre, Franz Kline, whose work has clearly inspired my own. Next Series Contact Us Gallery Main Page © 1993-2016 by Merlin Emrys. All Rights Reserved. |
