Another wonderful day on the river September 2. Winds were almost non-existent, although water levels continue to drop, making navigation around above and below water mudflats tricky.
Sightings included close-ups of a snowy egret, night and great blue herons, an osprey, and the usual flocks of soaring turkey vultures riding the air currents.

Thanks very much for your kind and encouraging comments, Anthony! Many of the rock cliffs along this section of the river have faces. I often think of them as the Cliffs of the Ancestors, who are looking down kindly upon all who pass beneath with love and blessings.
