Despite overcast skies and threat of rain, we hiked this wonderful trail today. As a photographic challenge, I only brought a 24mm AOV lens.

The creek is almost completely dry, but there were a few pools of water, which made for some interesting shots.

The tall trees (ponderosa and piñon pines, Rocky Mountain juniper, Douglas fir) are imposing.

The extensive rock formations are exquisite and inspiring.

The stillness and connection with nature were very uplifting and deeply meaningful.
