We hit the trail early as rain was forecast for mid-afternoon. It had been over a month since we last were here, because the until recent very hot weather does not make for a salubrious experience. But the clouds and a cool breeze made for an excellent outing.

It was my first hike with the new camera, and I am very pleased with the results. It is turning out to be all I had hoped for — lightweight (under one pound), versatile (zoom lens), and wonderful color rendition and image quality.

The stillness and expansive vistas added to the deep connection with nature and spirit. And a huge thunderstorm with torrential rains, and even some hail, began less than 90 minutes after our return!
