Another magical day and hike in the National Forest near our home. The rock formations along this trail are superb, and even on a Saturday we had the place mostly to ourselves. Sightings included grey squirrels, chipmunks, mountain chickadees, flickers, and ravens.
The autumn light and color changes of trees and vegetation are spectacular. The huge ponderosa pines and Douglas firs are imposing.
With some water still in the creek, photographs of reflections offered another dimension of discovery and delight.
The stillness and connection with nature were deeply moving and expansive, challenging me to relate and communicate from that space.
