Warmer today than Saturday, and with no additional precipitation we were able to hike the entire trail, including the very steep and rocky downhill and uphill portions. The low-angled sunlight added to the magical feeling of the forest, mountains, trees, plants, and rocks, and the stillness served to expand our awareness and appreciation of nature.

It is impossible to comprehend the mindset of those who would rape and pillage the Earth to further their greed. We are very fortunate to have unspoiled wild places close to home. Hopefully they will remain so!
