We went in a different direction on today’s off-trail adventure, climbing up to and making our way just below the rock cliffs. Amazing, astounding, and jaw-dropping do not begin to describe the landscape.

We ended the excursion by ascending the rock chimney we have gone down before, to the top of the mesa at 7200 feet elevation.
