Mid-November

An unseasonably warm day for our off-trail explorations. We took a different route from the plateau to the base of the cliffs, regaling in the wonders of Nature and Earth.

Despite some wet spots from the recent snowstorm and muddy boots to clean upon returning home, the footing was firm enough for steep ascents and clambers over and around the huge boulders.

Lichens offered some color, and being surrounded by the cliffs, gnarled junipers, piñons, shrubs, and various cacti made for a magical experience.
