Another fine autumn day in the high country for our off-trail adventure. We contemplated returning to the rock cliffs where we had tumbles, but not this time. Another day awaits, when we are back in mid-season form, so we took a different route to the mesa top.

As always, the stillness, solitude, and vastness of the landscape is deeply inspiring.
